Shannox Tactics Basics:Shannox is the first and easiest boss of the entire fireland raid instance. It's a simple tank and spank fight with some extra attention for dealing with his 2 Dog Adds.Back to Top Shannox Tactics step by step:Shannox Tactics Step 1:Clear an area of all the Mobs to make room for the fight with Shannox, and pull him. Shannox Tactics Step 2: Shannox will lay 2 types of traps under random players feet: one does damage and the other cages the victim. You have about 2 seconds to get out of the trap s beore they activate. The dog adds are vulnerable to the traps as well, but don't go out of your way to trap them, it will not make much difference, and you might as well just kill them. Shannox Tactics Step 3: The 2 dog adds are called RageFace and RipLimp. RageFace will not respond to aggro, and will just charge players at random. RipLimb needs to be Tanked together with Shannox by your main tank, and facing away from the raid. Shannox Tactics Step 4: Split the DPS between Shannox and the Dogs, about 50% to Shannox and 25% to each of the dogs. Slowly DPS them all down. Shannox Tactics Step 5: When RageFace changes to a new target he will do a lot of damage until he's hit for a very high damage hit (about 40 - 50K). If you find it hard to handle the high damage he does until someone scores that much in a single hit, you can switch some of the DPS of the RipLimb to him so he dies first. Shannox Tactics Step 6: Shannox and RipLimb will both put a stacking DoT called Jagged Tear on your main tank. After 5 stacks rotate the tank with an OT for 30 seconds until it wears off, and then rotate them back. Shannox Tactics Step 7: Shannox will occasionally shoot a spear on the raid, stay out of its target location (you will see where it's hitting on the ground). Shannox Tactics Step 8: If you kill the dogs Shannox gets a damage bonus, and if you kill shannox before the dogs, the dogs get enraged and probably wipe the raid. So you need to kill the dogs first. Shannox Tactics Step 9: However, once Shannox gets to 30% he gets frenzied, and it's impossible to deal with him frenzied AND the dogs. So wait till you drop Shannox to about 35% before you finish them. Shannox Tactics Step 10: After killing the dogs continue DPS on shannox to below 30%. He will get frenzied and will do a lot more damage. Shannox Tactics Step 11: Pop bloodlust and DPS CD and kill Shannox. |
