Q. What is Reputation?A: Each player can gain reputation with the different factions in World of Warcaft, indicating how much liked or disliked that played it among said Faction. Reputation levels can be: At war, Hates, Neutral, Friendly, Honored, Revered and Exalted.Q: why should I care about Factions and Reputation?A: The level of reputation will indicate how the NPCs of that faction will behave towards you. If you're at war with a certain faction, you will be attacked on sight by said faction.But more importantly: Gaining a positive reputation with certain factions will allow you to visit their Quarter Master NPC and buy valuable Items and Enchants from him. The higher your reputation is with that certain faction, more items will be available for you to purchase. Q: How can I tell how much reputation I have with the different factions?A: Simply open your character sheet inside the game and switch to the "Reputation" tab on the bottom.
Q: How do I level up my reputation with a certain Faction?A: In order to gain reputation with a certain Faction you will need to prove to that faction that you share the same goals as them. That means you will either need to kill the enemies of that faction, complete quests and daily quests that will be given to you by the faction's NPCes, and so on.![]() In Wrath of the lich king many of the faction's quarter masters offer a tabard to all players. Wearing the tabard while progressing in Heroic dungeons will award reputation towards that faction to the player for every mob and boss killed. Q How can I chose which faction to gain rep with?A: It is highly advised to first have a look at the factions reward section before you start gaining reputation with the factions. The sons of Hodir faction quarter master sells powerful shoulder enchants.
