How to: Patchwerk for dummies guide (4,300,000 Hit Points normal/ 13,000,000 Hit Points heroic).Patchwerk encounter is the simplest encounter in Naxx, and is almost a pure DPS race.Meaning that threw out the entire encounter your raid will stationary, allowing your DPS members to blow out all they got on him. Failing because your OTs get 1 shotted means your OTs should upgrade their gear. In the same manner, failing to kill Patchwerk before the enrage timer (around 6 minutes) probably means your raid just lacks the DPS gear needed for this encounter, and you should upgrade them with gear from other wings in Naxx before you are able to kill him. Thus making this encounter a "Gear Check". Patchwerk Abilities overview:Hateful strike (about 1 Second CD):This is a very (very) high damage strike done to the second raid member in the threat list (10 man version) or the highest Hit Points raid member among the top 3 high threat raid members, that are in melee range. This ability will do huge damage (about 20K in heroic) to the OT, so healers should SPAM HEAL ALL THE TIME. Waiting for the OTs to first get a hit, and only then heal, will result in a wipe because of a second Hateful Strike Landing too soon.. Just keep spamming those heals all the time. Tips and Notes:• Melee DPS members that are afraid they have too much life, and will get hit, can jump into the "Acid River" near by, thos this should be avoided if possible.
• At 5% health Patchwerk will go into frenzy, making 25% more damage and have 50% haste. Save BL for that phase. • You need to clear the room before pulling him, so the adds won't be pulled as soon as you start the fight. |
