This week patch 3.3 started downloading, meaning the patch itself is very near (will probably happened sometime in the next 3 weeks), and with it Icecrown Citadel raid instance.

Blizzard released official information regarding the availability of the raid instance, stating that the instance will include 4 wing sections. The first wing will be available with patch 3.3 and the other sections gradually unlocked and be available for play every few weeks. The 4 sections are:

Lower Spire.

The plagueworks:

Crimson hall:

Frostwing Halls:
For information about specific boss strategies visit: Dreamwalker Tactics, Sindragosa Tactics, Lich King Tactics

Additional released info:
  • Players will not be able to start playing the heroic versions of these boss fights until they have first defeated the Lich King in normal difficulty. That means that no heroic version of any fight will be available for play in the next 2 months or so (at least).
  • In order to be able to fight The lich King you will need to first kill Putricide, Lana'thel and Sindragosa (in the same week). Same applies for the heroic version of the fights.
  • Every week Putricide will be available for only 5 raid attempts. If killed the remaining attempts number will be increased by 10 with Lana'thel and another 15 for Sindragosa and the Lich King. This applies for both normal and heroic difficulties.
