The lich king had been defeated, and you can now watch the 10 man version of the encounter in 2 parts.
You can also continue to the Lich King Tactics page.
Good Luck!

With patch 3.3 released to the servers, the froswing Halls will be availbale for play, and thus the entire Icecrown citadel will be ulocked, and with it the lich king encounter itself.
For information about specific boss strategies visit: Dreamwalker Tactics, Sindragosa Tactics, Lich King Tactics
This also means, the beginning of a new arena season!

To those of you who can not wait to defeat arthas himself, below is the cinematic of how this encounter end once you have defeated the lich king.

With the opening of the next arena season blizzard have issued a statement that resilience will be greatly buffed in a hotfix to dramatically reduce the damage players take in PVP even further.

It is most likely an experiment to help them decide how to handle the current "too bursty" pvp environment in which a global cooldown or two can be all that separates a player from a "safe" life pool to death.

The increase effect should be noticeable as an approximately 10% - 20% less damage taken, depending on how much resilience the player got.

Blizzard also stated they consider using other damage lowering methods for Cataclysm such as implementing an aura that passively reduces damage in all arena.

On a different note, the lich king encounter should be unlocked in about two weeks!

Till then,  you can review the Queen Lana'thel tactics and the Blood Princes tactics pages. The Lich King Tactics page will be updated as soon as more info on the fight is relieased.

2009 has been a great year for WOW. With its peak being the Icecrown Citadel finally opening up, and with, in the next few week, the lich king encounter itself will be unlocked.

The next major patch will include new features identified with the Cataclysm Expansion, making 2010 even a greater year for WOW.

If you haven't done so already, you can catch up on the Cataclysm expansion and its new features on our Cataclysm Guide page. Also take not that I will be purchasing and reviewing the top leading and most popular Cataclysm Guides on the Cataclysm Leveling Guides reviews page.

Best wishes everyone, and have a great 2010!
