Queen Lana'thel Tactics and strategy guideThe Queen Lana'thel tactics bellow are part of the Icecrown Citadel Raid tactics Guide For discussions on Lana'thel tactics visit the Raiding Forum.Lana'thel Tactics Basics:The Lana'thel Tactics is split between 2 phases: ground phase (which is almost a tank and spank phase) and a short air phase. You will require 2 tanks and a lot of raid awareness to the debufs she puts on the raid.Lana'thel Tactics Movie:Lana'thel Tactics step by step:Lana'thel Tactics Step 1:Pull Lana'thel with your main tank. Another tank should stand on top of him as he will take the same amount of damage because of Blood Mirror. Melee stay away from the tank! Lana'thel Tactics Step 2: The rest of the raid should spread out to avoid massive AOE damage. Lana'thel Tactics Step 3: Players with Swarming Shadows need to run to the walls so the AOE trail will not kill others. Melee should pay special attention to this ability. Lana'thel Tactics Step 4: Lana'thel will link 3 players (2 on 10 man) with Pact of the Darkfallen. They need to run to each other ASAP to cancel the DoT on them. Lana'thel Tactics Step 5: Player with Frenzied Bloodthirst should pay attention for the buff on him and when it's over quickly use the new Bite ability on his action bar to infect and pass the buff to the highest Damage Dealer on the raid. Pay attention as the bite causes about 17K damage so don't bite injured players. Lana'thel Tactics Step 6: When Lana'thel starts flying for the air phase all the raid spread out to avoid as much raid damage as possible. Lana'thel Tactics Step 7: When Lana'thel lands the 2 tanks need to quickly get back and stand on top of each other or the closest person to the tank will die. Lana'thel abilities:Blood Mirror:The closest player to the tank also receives the damage the tank suffers. Delirious Slash (Melee DoT, 15 seconds): Lana'thel does 75% of weapon damage bleeds him for about 7K damage every 3 sec. Twilight Bloodbolt (instant AOE, 6 Yards Radius): Lana'thel deals 10K Damage. Swarming Shadows (AOE "Path"): Lana'thel puts an AOE under a players feet that does high damage and spreads where he steps. Pact of the Darkfallen (DoT): Lana'thel puts an increasing DoT on 3 players (2 on 10 man) that will get linked together. They must stand close to each other to cancel the DoT or they will soon die. Bloodbolt Whirl (Air Phase): Lana'thel deals multiple AOEs on different players that do heavy damage. Essence of the Blood Queen (Buff): Lana'thel BUFFS a player to do 100% more damage and healing as well as him HIMSELF for the damage he does. When it expires the player will receive a new ability on his action bar to infect another player instead of himself, or he will get mind controlled but Lana'thel. |
