Thaddius strategy for Dummies guide (3,800,000 Hit Points normal/ 30,400,000 Hit Points heroic).

Thaddius strategy is fairly simple, though you have to make sure everyone in your raid understand it, and know what to do.

The fight starts with the killing of Thaddius 2 Guardians: Feugen and Stalagg. Until you kill them Thaddius is not active, so you can not kill him anyway.

They are very easy, you just need to keep in mind the following rules:

1.    They should be tanked on the platforms they stand on. Meaning your raid should be divided into 2, since they are very far apart, and pulling them off the platform will cause a wipe.
2.    They have to die within 5 seconds of each other, or they resurrect each other. So if one is dying faster communicate to the other group to slow down.
3.    Every once in a while they will toss the tank up the air to the other platform. You don't need to worry about that too much, just heal the tanks when they land.
4.    When they are down JUMP to the platform of Thaddius. Players easily fall down the gap from their platform to Thaddius platform, and that is both embarrassing and Dangerous (as you will see in the following fight description).

Thaddius Key Abilities:

•    Chain Lightning (15 seconds Cooldown).

This ability is not that dangerous. It causes mediocre- high (4-8K on heroic) damage to 5 random players.

•    Polarity shift (30 seconds Cooldown)

This is the key the raid should watch out for. Whenever polarity shift is cast, all raid members (including the tank) will receive a debuf charge that can be either positive +, or Negative -.
Whenever a player stands next to another player with the same polarity, they will both gain a tacking buff of 5% more damage.
Whenever a player stand next to another player with the opposite charge, they will deal mediocre (about 3-4K on heroic) to each other.

Note that a player that stands inside a group of people from the other charge will suffer the damage from each and every one of them. Meaning they will all be hurt, but he will (sadly, probably, inevitably) die.

After 6 minutes of fighting Thaddius will enrage and will wipe the raid.

Thaddius strategy:

Because the enrage timer is so strict, and because Thaddius has so much Hit Point, the following strategy is need to

A.    Maximize the amount of beneficial damage buff the raid members receive. Without it the raid will NOT have enough DPS to down Thaddius.
B.    Avoid players from opposite charges to blow up each other (and thus not only Die themselves, but also reduce the +Damage buff the rest of the raid are able to get).

Follow the next steps:

1.    Divide the raid into 2 groups, with even DPS on both sides, as well as a tank and healer.
2.    Let the tanks pull and tank Feugen and Stalagg where they stand.
3.    Make sure they both die at the same time, if there are big DPS differences, communicate so that the faster DPS group will slow down,
4.    Jump to Thaddius platform and remain in the same 2 groups as before.  One stands to the right of Thaddius and the other to his left.

That is important to avoid confusion when the entire raid member will need to split up due to their charges. Having 2 Groups already formed makes sure everyone knows where they need to run.

Make sure that each groups' members stand close to each other, and not scattered around.

You have 15 seconds till Thaddius wake up.

5.    Tank his as usual.
6.    As soon as polarity shift occurs, all the Positive charges raid members stand together on the right group, while the negative charged members stand on the left group.

If anyone needs to change group they should do so Clock Wise, and in a circular path a few steps AWAY from Thaddius.

That's vital so that no switching raid members of opposite charges will cross paths and explode each other (and probably the tank as well)
7.    Go back to step 5 until the next polarity shift.

Differences between 10 and 25 man version:

There aren't any.

Tips and Notes

•    If anyone's being Combat Ressed he should make sure to accept the combat ress only during polarity shift, so he immediately get a new charge. Having no polarity counts as the opposite of both + and – Charges.
•    After killing him wait for the debuf to ware off before looting ,or you risk exploding all the raid members opposite to your charge (and you will probably die yourself)
•    There is a bug with this boss, preventing reset properly, whenever there are "survivors" in a wipe. Therefore. if it is clear you're not going. To make it, better wipe by making everyone go in the middle and explode each other, then to run back and try to reset, only to find it's bugged and you can't do it again.

Good Luck!
