How to: Instructor Razuvious strategy for dummies guide (3,300,000 Hit Points normal/ 10,000,000 Hit Points heroic).Instructor Razuvious is a relatively simple tank and spank fight with a twist: Instead of your own raid tank doing the job, you will be mind controlling his understudies to tank him instead. The reason you'll be doing this is that his hits will kill any regular tank (he can hit up to 100K on plate….).The strategy is similar in the 10 man raid version and the 25 man raid version, only the method of the mind control will be different. On the 10 man raid version there will be 2 orbs your raid members can use to Mind Control Razuvious with while on the 25 man version you will need to do this with priests mind control. Instructor Razuvious Key abilities:Disrupting shout (physical AOE, entire raid):This will cause moderated (about 5-7K) damage to the whole raid. Jagged knife (10 seconds CD): This will be hitting random raid member for moderate initial damage (around 5K) and a nasty DoT of 10K more in 5 seconds. Dangerous on clothies and very dangerous if it comes right after disrupting shout. Assign a healer to be prepared for that one. Unbalancing strike: This ability will basically kill any "normal" raid tank. It will make about 100K damage and lower defenses, so this should only be hitting his understudies. Understudies Abilities overview: The understudies will be tanking Razuvious so Mind Controlling characters should know the following abilities. Blood Strike (4 seconds CD): Special Attack move, causes additional 50% weapon damage. Taunt (20 seconds CD): Will taunt the target (which should be the instructor of course) for 10 seconds. This has to be used only AFTER putting Bone barrier up, so the instructor won't die. Bone barrier (30 seconds CD) Reduces damage taken by 75% for 20 seconds. Quick observation of these abilities will show that you can NOT keep tanking him with the same understudy threw out the whole fight. That why you will need to rotate tanking the instructor with 2 (in the case of 25 man possibly more) understudies. Each understudy pulling should FIRST bone armor him self, and only THEN pull the instructor. When tanking him pullers should do it far enough so that when mind control breaks there will be enough time for "regular" tank to pick them up, or to retake control of them, before they get to the raid and make too much damage. Instructor Razuvious strategy:1. (25 man) Assign a tank to offtank the uncontrolled understudies.
2. Instructor Razuvious will engage combat in a few seconds. 3. Take control of an understudy. Put a bone shield up, and taunt. 4. After about 8 seconds the next understudy should put up a bone shield and taunt as well. 5. Keep rotating him with understudies. 6. After he dies, kill understudies. Tips and Notes:• (25 man only) Mind controlling priests should bring +spell hit gear and eat +hit food to avoid Mind controlling breaks as much as possible.
• This fight is all about managing the Understudies rotation, so don't despair, first couple of pulls will usually fail very early on in the fight, and suddenly when the controllers "get it" you will down him very easily. Good Luck! |
