Grand Widow Faerlina for dummies guide (2,230,000 Hit points normal/ 6,760,000 Hit Points heroic).Grand Widow Faerlina is accompanied by 6 guardians: 4 worshipers and 2 followers. They all play a key part in the strategy to bring her dowm, but first lets look at her hey abilities (in 10 man version there will be no followers)Grand Widow Faerlina key abilities:Poison bolt volley (mature damage and a DoT) and Rain of fire (Fire Damage AOE on random player): Those 2 abilities on their own they are not so dangerous, as the damage they do is not so high. How ever, Grand Widow Faerlina will go into frenzy several times during the encounter, making these attacks fatal.Fenzy (about 70 secs CD):While Frenzied Faerlina will increase in size, and will cause 50% more damage as well as increase attack speed by 50%. It is not undoable to manage to live threw that Frenzy and kill her (in fact, there is an achievement for doing so) but on progression raid this ability will probably cause a wipe.The only way to tranquilize here and stop the Frenzy, is casting Widow's embrace, which last for 60 seconds, and will also silence her nature school for 30 seconds. Widow's embrace can be cast differently on 10 man and 25 man, and that's where the adds come into play. 10 man version:you will need to kill one of the worshipers AFTER she enrages, that will cast Widow's embrace on her. In this version the worshipers can NOT be mind controlled.25 man version:You will need to mind control a worshiper and use his abilities to cast the Widow's embrace on her.10 man Encounter strategy:1. Mark the worshipers so that everyone will know which one needs to be killed/ MC first.2. Tank pulls her to the middle of the room. OT grabs the Worshipers. He uses his abilities to lower the first one the needs to be killed down to about 10% – 15% health. If he needs help, DPS should be assigned to help him out. 3. When she frenzies all DPS switch to the 10% health worshiper and finish him off 4. Go back to step 3 and repeat until dead. OT should pay attention and not kill the Worshipers too soon! 25 man Encounter strategy:1. Mark the worshipers so that everyone will know which one needs to be killed/ MC first.2. Tank pulls her to the middle of the room. OT and DPS finish off the followers ASAP. OT grabs the Worshipers. 3. When she frenzies a priest quickly MC on of the Worshipers and Activates the ability. 4. Go back to step 3 and repeat until dead. OT should pay attention and not kill the Worshipers too soon!
