How to: Four Horsemen for dummies guide (840,000 Hit Points normal/ 2,500,000 Hit Points heroic).

Four Horsemen Encounter Principle:

This Encounter is less about tanking and more about raid coordination.
On this fight you will have 4 bosses. When they are pulled they will automatically go to the 4 corners of the room, where each of them should be tanked by a raid member (in 25 man version with possibly the assistance of a healer) while the rest of the raid kill bosses one by one.

The trick here is, that each boss radiates an aura that keeps stacking a debuf on raid members around him. This debuf will make more and more damage as it stacks. When it reaches 4 stacks it will make 4K damage, and reaching 5 and 6 stack will probably cause death (20+ K damage each).

These debufs fade have 25 seconds duration, so getting out of the aura of a certain death knight for more then 25 seconds will cause the aura of the death knight to be able to restack from 0.

That means that it is possible (and should be done!) for DPS and tanks to rotate between any two death knights every 3 stacks of the debuf.

Four Horsemen strategy:

1.    Put one tank on each of the corner of the room:
Corner 2 (blue) should be a melee class.
Corner 3 and 4 (Green and Red) should be a caster class that is capable of self healing (moonkins, priests etc). Prefer a ranged class over paladins.
Don't be afraid of pulling, the aggro range on these isn't so big, and as long as tanks keep close to the walls you should be ok and not pull.
2.    Rest of the raid stand on corner number 1 (Pink).
3.    Pull the bosses. They will auto go to their corners.
4.    Your raid start killing Boss number 1. This is Thane Kor'Thuzz. He will be doing small AOE divided between 8 players, so don't spread out too much.
5.    Your goal now is to kill the first boss as fast as possible, so pop all CDs now, and Blood lust as well. You should be able to manage to kill the first boss before raid reaches 5 stacks, if not, you're in trouble. You will need to rotate the raid between boss 1 and 2.
This should NOT happen. If it does your DPS is probably lacking gear.
6.    By this time your tanks number 3 and 4 (red and green) should reach 3 stacks of debuf. They should switch places so that the original debuf will fade and a new one will be applied.
7.    Raid goes to boss number 2, this is Baron Rivendare at the blue corner. He is a melee boss as well, and will cast shadow bolts.
8.    Continue to bosses 4 and 3, while the tanks keep rotating. If necessary, the raid rotates as well.

Tips and Notes:

•    Tanks 3 and 4 should make keeping themselves alive the highest priority. There will not be really any difficulty in keeping aggro, because they will be the only one attacking the bosses. However, failing to stay alive will cause a wipe.
•    (25 man only) You can assign a healer to rotate with tanks 3 and 4 (green and red), he just needs to watch not pull aggro and pull the bosses to the center of the room (and thus potentially making the tanks get 2 sets of debufs at the same time)

Good Luck!
