Druids, druids.. playing a druid for a long time ,was only about healing, and then after TBC came out about healing or tanking...it's just like people forget that druids can also DPS..
That kinda sux for true... BUT no so far ago, Blizzard made a lot of changes, improves, buffs etc etc and now for true, Feral Druid [not gonna talk about Boomkin cause I have never ever even once speeced as Boomkin :P] become VERY complex and viable class not only in tanking but also in DPS and in PvP.
Question is how to dps as Feral Druid
So i think it's quite obvious for everyone that Feral Druid dps in Cat Form :>
So 1st is done :>
2nd. If you still have Clav on your action bar, throw it away, you wont ever use it :>
3rd.
Get a mangle BOT, which mean you need to have in party/raid = Arms
Warrior or Feral Druid who is gonna tank, OR as the last and worst
resort other Feral DPS druid or you :P ALl in ALL MANGLE must be on
target all the time,mangle or Arms Warrior Debuff. That's MASSIVE dps
lost if it wont be on target remember.
4th. Keep Savage Roar, ALWAYS even if you have 1 combo point just use it, of course it's best to use it on 5 combo points but anyway you MUST have it.
5th. KEEP Rake on target! NO matter what ;>
6th. Keep 5 CP Rip on target! Only 5cp one , not less
7th. Clearcasting procs use on Shred, ALWAYS,
8th. Of course your main attack is Shred, it can be cast only behind the target if you cannot stay behind it just spam Mangle.. what's more you have 30 sec CD called Tiger Fury, if properly spec it will give you 60 energy, so use it every CD while you have like 20 energy left.
What's
more you have CD claled Beserk, it will lower cost of your all
abilities by 50% use it ONLY after you use Tigeers Fury, (cause then
you will have usually 100 energy) and then after you pop it continue
rotation, btw, while Berserk you will get Rip on target and Savage Roar
on yourself and 5 combo points on target.. what to do in those moments.
just use Ferocius Bite, it's extremly high dmg skill :>
8th. Get an Addon which will help you with feral Rotation e.g Facemauler.
You must know one thing, dpsing as feral isnt that simple Rotation is just MADNESS! but if you will master it, you will be able to play as ANY ohter class in the game;>
Now let's say something about PvP, I'm not that good in it as Feral got something like 1900 in 2v2 Rogue+ Feral Druid combo.
Few things you need to know.
Rogue is stunning, you are dpsing ;>
Feral druids have AMAZING burst dmg,, Ravange -> Mangle->Rake->spam shred-> Ferocius Bite=dead.
No expections, nothing can outheal that.
If you are playing with healer, just use normal dps rotation, bleeds will eat your enemy, Just stun a little bit sometimes when needed and just keep chasin your enemy and shreding him:>
If he will show his backs to you, you will win ALWAYS if he will face you that's gonna be a bit harder but still doable.
Dont bother about Maims unless your rogue call for it, he should be able to stun enemy for enough time to kill it ;>
Remeber
that after recent changes now you are able to cast Instant
heals/cyclones after you made a Finisher with 5 cp.[For true Finisher
from 5cp gives you 100% to do an instnant cast, finisher from 1 Cp
gives you 20% [each Cp = 20%] IT'S EXTREMLY usefull and important.
Cyclone is 6 sec ,instant CC, without CD, it's just amazing If you will
learn how to abuse ityou will win every each arena :>
Of course remeber that you can use that Instant cast on something else, like Roots, or some Healing Touch,
Few tricks, if you are facing Team like Retri+ healer, and you are killing healer, he will get Hand Of Protecion, unsless you are with some Dispeller (Shaman/Priest/Mage) you wont be able to do any dmg so just Cast Cyclone on Target with HoP, in Cyclone he wont be ablle to heal himself, HoP is on target for 10 sec, so 2 cyclones in row on target with HoP Will just waste it :>
Remeber you are tank, everytime someone will attack you Go in Bear Form, Use Barskin/Bash/Last Stand/Frienzied Regeneration, heal yourself, if melle class is Pummeling you, just use Nature Grasp, your enemy wil be rooted :>
What's even MORE important, remeber that you cannot be root/polymorphed/hexed everytime you got Snares/roots just do powershift and run again free like a wind :) , even if you will get Sheep in Tauren Form you will be able get into some Form without using trinket!
