Things to look for in Cataclysm PVP guidesThe Cataclysm PVP guides will need to focus a lot on arena 3 Vs 3 compositions and even address BG tactics, because as you'll see form the Cataclysm PVP future design, the Cataclysm PVP will focus on those two factors the most.Of course, like a lot of current PVP guides, I would look for a proper dueling section from any PVP guide, as well as other sections like 2 Vs 2 guides and so on, when reviewing PVP guides. The best current PVP guide I can recommend is Ultimate complete PVP Guide that includes a lot of information about current PVP. Cactalysm PVP gearing:Cataclysm PVP will allow for more varied ways of gearing up. "Rated Battelegrounds" will be a way to do so, and probably indicates that an alternative route for gearing up will be presented in adition to arena PVP gearing, or that the two might somehow be integrated, like, for example, the current ability to get arena points threw completing BG dailies.The emphasize is to make Catalysm PVP gearing feel less "grindy" (In BGs) and more skill/ wins dependant. The first few pieces of PVP in Catalysm will be more easily obtained, so that players won't have to rely on PVE gear in order to win the first season. It is safe to assume that you will be able to obtain resilience pieces of armor easier, at least for your first couple of hundreds point of resil. This will also reduce the "Too Bursty" feeling of the first season. Cataclysm PVP viability for every spec:The Cataclysm PVP design will focus less on single specs and more on compositions, thus ensuring every single spec (especially for hybrids) will have at least one composition where they'd be prefered over other specs.The shift in Cataclysm PVP design will be less on "solo" PVP concerns, such as "this spec lacks CC" and more of a "team" concern, such as "This spec doesn't feel like it's contributing enough to be considered for a certain setup" |
