Guide for Prot Warriors!

Warriors are tanks since forever ;>

In late times , (Vanilia) there were some crazy specs with Mortal Strike forTanking Warriors, after few patch Blizzard decided that this is a bit Stupid that Arms Warrior are tanks so they do a lot of changes , buffs, nerfs etc etc so eventually Prot Warriors Become tanks :)

Prot Warrior has 3 primary skills to keep aggro

Sunder Armor/Devastate

Shield Slam

Revenge

With priorite Shield Slam > Revenge> Devastate

You should use SS every CD, and every Swoard and Broad proc. [S&B refresh CD on SS and reduce it's cost by 100% it mean that you can use it even with 0 rage :>]

Revenge is only usable after the warrior blocks, dodges or parries an attack, Due too fact that Warriors are Blocking/Dogding/Parrying attacks preety often it should be useable eveyrtime: > So just use it every CD :)

Devastate is melle attack which cause Sunder Armor effect in addition to his quite nice dmg

[Spam it every Global CD if those 2 previews Skills are on CD]

Warrior have also few AoE tanking abilities

Thunder Clap : ability that causes physical damage and slows up enemies' attacks

Demoralizing shout : flat rate attack power reduction shout

Those 2 skills does not generate hight Threat but they are good to just keep them on you :)

And we are coming to the best one Prot Warrior Ability :)

Shockwave is a wave of  "schock ":P for a distance of about 7 yards. It does considerable damage and a four second stun.

Thunder Clap and Shockwave abilities should be on CD all the time while you are tanking a lot of Mobs remeber to also keep Demo Shout on mobs so they will hit you for much less dmg ;)

Now let's talk something about tricks :)

Prot warrior has amazing talent  Warbringer , it let you to use Charge , Intercept and Intervene in any stance (which basily mean that you can do eveyrthing now in Defence Stance)

Without that talent to use a charge you had to be in Battle stance, to Intercept in Berserk Stance and to Intervene in Defensive stance.

That talent gives prot warriors AMAZING movement abilities, (it also removes snares and stuns from warrior)

Some peopl are calling it Warriors Blink :)

Let's say that you pulled to much mobs and you dont know what to do, STUN them,

Prot Warrior has amazing abilites to stun mobs.

Shockwave -4 sec AoE stun

Impr Revenge Talent- gives you a 50% change to stun enegemy for 3 sec after using Revenge on it.

Concusion Blow- 5 sec CD

Charge - 1.5 sec CD

 Intercept 3 sec CD

Of course to use Charge and Intercept you need to be in some range from mobs, and that's why you can do a trick

cast Intervene on your Party member which is far away from you, and then you can charge/intercept back to your enemy :)

So basicly how to tank a warrior :)

Get close to group of mobs (but not close enought to pull them) Mark them , and Then use Charge ability on one of them - you will get Extra Rage after using Charge :>(with impr Charge talent that amount will be even bigger)

Then use Thunder Clap  and Demo Shout, and Start normall tanking rotation on one of them (SS->Revenge->Devastate) if some of your Mindless dps will overaggro use TAUNT.

If someone will start AoEing Start Using Every CD Thunder Cap and Shockwave.

(remeber to use Charge/Intercept to get to mob which is going after your healer/dps)

You can always use Intervene on guy which overaggro so mob will hit you instaed of him, that' s also good thing to do :)

It's also good to use Bloodrage before you pull that ability will give you some amount of rage, you can also use it every CD while fighting mobs if you need more Rage it's all up to you ;)

Remeber to DO NOT tunnelvision on one mob, keep an eye on eveyrthing, a lot of ppl are making mistakes, they are overaggroing and you need to save them after that ;) Unfortunatly that's your job :>

Have Fun :>
