Auriaya strategy guide for dummies (16 Million HP Heroic)

The following Auriaya strategy refers to the Ulduar raid instance (10 and 25 man raid).

Auriaya strategy Basics:

Auriaya strategy will focus mainly on controlling and killing the adds she summons, and doing so effectively is the key to Auriaya strategy.

Auriaya Abilities:

Sonic Screech (cone shape AOE):
Auriaya will send a sonic blast causing very high damage (200k+) which will be split on the number of raiders in it.

Horrifying Screech:
Auriaya casts fear on the whole raid.

Sentinal Blast:
Medium Shadow Damage (5K+) as well as putting a stackable debuff on target increasing shadow damage by 100% (stacks 5 times).

This will follow Horrifying screech

Auriaya Adds Summon:

Sanctum Centry:
These 4 adds (2 in normal mode) are with Auriaya on the fight pull.
They can pounce causing heavy damage (15K on heroic) on impact and the same amount of damage wahc seconds for 5 seconds.

Auriaya will Also summon various adds during the fight.

Swarming Guardians:
Auriaya summons these trash adds from time to time. Easily killed, but they show up in a big group: 20 at a time.

Feral Defender:
This add has to be tanked separately, but inside the raid group, since otherise it will pounce and stun raid members that are not near him.
It will also leave a void zone where it dies, and ressurects after a few seconds. It can ressurect 9 times in total, each time causing less damage.

Proposed Auriaya strategy:

The following suggested Auriaya strategy will require more testing, stay tuned for following days update.

Auriaya strategy step 1:
Pull Auriaya, at this point Fetal defender is not yet in combat.
Assign 2 Off Tanks (1 Off Tank in Normal) for the Centries.
The pulling tank should get a lot of survival CoolDowns in order to survive Centries initial pounce.

Don't be surprised if you wipe at this point, it takes some practice before managing it correctly.

Auriaya strategy step 2:
All the group clumps up in front of Auriaya.
Kill the Centries first.
Put down a totem (if available) to decrease fear duration.

Auriaya strategy step 3:
When the wolves packs show AoE them down

Auriaya strategy step 4:
When being feared, protect one interrupt capable raid member from it, so he can interrupt the sentinal blast the follows.

Auriaya strategy step 5:
Feral Defender Shows up, do not DPS it, but Off Tank it inside the raid group so it can't pounce.

Auriaya strategy step 7:
Seconds before Feral Defender dies, pull it away from the raid group, and kill it there so that void zone will not kill raid members.

Auriaya strategy step 6:
You may chose to move the raid away from the void zone so that fear will not make them step inside the Void Zone, but it's an optional move.
