Algalon Tactics GuideThe Algalon the observer tactics bellow is part of the Ulduar Raid instance Strategy Guide. Alglon tactics Basics:Being a Hard Mode only (Optional) boss all of his abilities are hard hitting.The fight is based on your raids ability to alternate between Algalons realm and the nether realm to avoid a raid wipin ability called "Big Bang" (read below). Algalon Abilities:Cosmis Smash:Fatal (about 35K) fire damage. Black Hole Explosion: High (about 15K) shadow damage Quantum Strike: High (about 15K) melee damage damage Phase Punch (5 Yards Range): High (about 10K) damage to an player near Salgon. Will also slowly fade the player out of reality to another plane. The Big Bang (8 seconds cast): High (about 12K) AOE damage to enemies close to AlgolonBig Bang: if no one is hit by Big Bang. Algalon will wipe the raid. Collapsing Stars: Algalon will summon 4 collapsing stars. They slowly lose health, and can be killed as well. When dead they will explode for 15K- 20K damage raid wide. Shadow protection will greatly help here. When a star dies, it leaves a black hole on the ground that can be enter to switch to the dark matter realm The dark matter realm is occupied by Adds that will try to melee you. Entering the realm wipes all the treat to Algalon, and all players inside will also suffer about 1.5K DoT per second. After 10 seconds inside you will be teleported back to Algalon. Algalon Tactics step by step:Algalon Tactics step 1:If available put down fire resist totems/ auras. Algalon Tactics step 2: Assign a DPS to time the explosions when it is convenient, and also warn nearby players when one is about to explode. Algalon Tactics step 3: Make sure you kill at least one star before big bang so that a black hole will be available for use. Algalon Tactics step 4: Phase punch will gradually start stacking on the tank. When it reaches 5 stack the tank will be switched to the nether realm as if it gone threw a black hole for 10 seconds. Have an OT ready to puck Algalon Up when that occurs. Algalon Tactics step 5: Algalon will summon constellations. Let an offtank drag them to a black hole, where both them and the black hole will be despawned. Algalon Tactics step 6: When Algalon casts Big Bang, all raid members accept one should get threw a black hole, accept one that should stay up and survive the bang (with some sort of Cooldown, such as shadow priests dispersion, or a priests guardian spirit. Algalon Tactics step 7: Cosmic smash will be placed on players (looks like a red thing under them), move out of them ASAP since they explode for AOE damage. Algalon Tactics step 8: When Algalon is at 20% phase 2 starts, and existing black holes are replaces with a new 4 fixed ones. These portals function the same like before, but they will also summon an add that needs to be picked up by an offtank and killed ASAP. Stars will no longer spawn, but the rest goes on as usual. Algalon Tactics step 9: Burn all cooldowns and finish Algalon. Algalon tactics notes:
